Vanessa Karajos, DPT
Get to Know Vanessa
Vanessa is a Florida native who grew up in Southwest Florida and then attended school at the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!) where she received her doctorate in physical therapy. She enjoys treating balance disorders and has a certification in LSVT BIG. She strives to help her patients achieve their goals and reach maximal functional outcomes by providing the highest level of care and compassion. When she is not in the clinic, she enjoys working out and hanging with her husky, Chance.
Nick Dwyer, DPT
Get to Know Nick
Nick is a doctor of physical therapy with expertise in movement and performance. Specifically, he has developed a passion for functional movement, mobility, and motor behavior for athletes of all ages. His Doctorate in Physical Therapy is from Gannon University. He has a B.S. in Exercise Physiology from Ohio Northern University. Nick is Certified in SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment) and FMS (Functional Movement). Nick also has advanced education in shoulder rehabilitation, Kinesio taping and manual therapy of the lower quarter, and vestibular rehabilitation. He is highly qualified in the prevention of athletic injury and recovery, and maximizing performance as a Certified Level 2 USA Weightlifting coach. Nick’s focus is on providing quality therapy through evidence-based practice to help clients avoid injury and achieve their goals. Nick demonstrates a genuine concern for his clients and his profession.
John Walz, MPT
Get to Know John
John Walz is committed to serving his community here in Bradenton where he was raised. After graduating from Manatee High, he served a 2 year mission in the Philippines. He then completed his Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of Florida. He has expertise and a passion for treating the spine, TMJ, head and fascial pain, sports performance therapy, and orthopedic injuries. John has many hours and years of postgraduate work of the Spine, Extremities, TMJ, Head, and Neck, receiving his Manual Therapy and Craniofacial Certifications. John is one of less than 50 CFC Therapists in the country. Over time John has treated athletes of all ages. As a Certified Level 2 USAW coach, he is qualified to help athletes prevent and recover from injuries, and improve their performance. His other specialties include balance and vestibular rehabilitation. John is certified in the LSVT BIG therapy for Parkinson’s and is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist. His hands-on skills and personal approach as a Manual Therapist provide excellent outcomes for those he serves. John and his wife Downey are raising their five children in West Bradenton where they grew up. They are honored to give back and make a difference here in Manatee County.
Helen Goman, DPT
Get to Know Helen
Helen received her doctorate in physical therapy from The University of St. Augustine in Austin, Texas where she grew up. She then worked in Miami for a year before moving to Sarasota. Helen enjoys working with patients of all ages and diagnoses to help them achieve their goals. In her free time, she enjoys working out, going to the beach and spending time with friends and family.
Ellen Smith, DPT

Ellen is a Colorado native who recently moved to Florida after getting her doctorate in physical therapy from Regis University in Denver. Ellen is committed to making a positive difference in the physical and emotional well-being of her patients. She enjoys working with all patients while expressing joy and positivity, her goal is to provide every individual with the tools to conquer all that life may throw their way. In her free time Ellen loves going to the beach and enjoying the warm weather, eating any kind of dessert, watching movies and playing pickle ball.
Susan Kirby, PTA
Get to Know Susan
Susan Ramsey is one of our licensed Physical Therapy Assistants and was a licensed massage therapist. Susan has been proficient in many different types of body work for the past 15 years. She specializes in Lymphatics drainage and compression therapy. She is also certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation from the American Institute of Balance. Susan is an excellent hands-on therapist and patients remark not only on her skills as a therapist but how kind and caring she is with them. Susan is a Bradenton native, alumni of class of ’99 Manatee High. She attended Sarasota School of Massage and she received her Physical Therapy Assistant degree from State College of Florida. Susan enjoys yoga, reading, camping and spending time with her husband Rex and her daughter, Layla Rose.
Jamie Boggio, PTA

Jamie Boggio has worked with Request Physical Therapy for over 10 years, first as a Rehabilitation Tech and after receiving her certification, as a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant. Patients remark how well she interacts with everyone in creating such a caring environment at Request PT. She enjoys her role and it shows when she shares with patients her years of experience in our outpatient physical therapy setting. In her free time she enjoys the beach and spending time with her husband.
Elizabeth Jensen
Get to Know Elizabeth
Elizabeth is a licensed massage therapist and a single mother with three terrific kids. Her passion is to help people heal. She has more than four years of extensive education in Ayurveda, one of the world's oldest health and wellness modalities. She continued her journey to include bodywork, specifically Myofascial work. Elizabeth believes that massage therapy can help patients reduce stress, ease pain and promote relaxation. She truly enjoys helping people feel their best and achieve their wellness goals. One of her primary goals is to assist individuals in releasing deeply stored emotional trauma from within their bodies.
